Winter in Sunapee Harbor
A whole different menu of activities than found in the summer!

The frozen lake
provides multiple avenues of exploration! |
 Our
guests can enjoy the pleasures of "Currier & Ives" ice skating out on the frozen
harbor or on the ice rink behind the gazebo which we (Greg is the "ice-master")
personally maintain for the town's
recreation department... or perhaps join a "pick-up" game of hockey.
Cross country skiing and snow shoeing are a wonderful way to explore the lake
and all the winter wildlife which abounds here in our "magical" wonderland.
(skates, cross country ski equipment and snow shoes can be rented locally or
bring your own!)
The Harbor is a wonderful place to bring your snowmobile. The Lake Sunapee
Snowmobile Club maintains and grooms extensive trails throughout the area and
also hosts many special events throughout the season.

guests even arrive by snowmobile! Either way... we have ample space
to accommodate our guests trailers and sleds.
The
3 mile "Harbor Loop" provides a wonderful vista... any time of the year!
For some good exercise with great scenery - walk (or run) the "Loop"... from
the Harbor ~ along Lake Avenue ~ past Birch Point ~ to Burkehaven Cove ~
returning over Burkehaven Hill Road to Sunapee Harbor.
And yes... there is even the option of ice fishing!!
And after a exhilarating day on the slopes of Mount Sunapee or exploring the
frozen waters of Lake Sunapee, treat yourself to a relaxing massage and
rejuvenate your muscles for the next day of fun!
