We invite our
guests to savor the "magic" of Sunapee - while enjoying the sparkling
clear waters and breathtaking mountain views. The
Lake Sunapee Region hosts many wonderful dining options, a variety of unique
retail shops, and of course... many activities for the sport enthusiasts. Many
artists and craftsmen make this area their home, providing galleries and
studio tours for our visitors ~ and Mount Sunapee hosts the Annual League of
New Hampshire Craftsmen Fair the first week of August each
year. (August 2-10, 2008)
Sunapee Harbor features many shops, galleries and eateries with the bonus
of... free entertainment on Wednesday evenings at the Gazebo* plus Saturday
and Sunday afternoons at Flanders Stage on the waterfront, with a mix of all
types of music. (*guests
at our cottages enjoy Wednesday night concerts, relaxing in rockers on their
porch with a cold refreshment, while children play together on the lawn).
There are boat rentals available in the Harbor (including kayak, canoe &
paddleboat rentals) as well as public charter lake cruises.
For our
guests that prefer stimulating activities, as opposed to relaxing and enjoying
the quaint Harbor Village, there is plenty of activities to keep them
satisfied ~ from skiing or sailing on the lake, to hiking Mount Sunapee or
cycling, golfing and climbing. Our 3 mile "Loop", from the Harbor ~ along Lake Avenue ~ past Birch Point ~ to Burkehaven Cove ~ returning over the hill to Sunapee Harbor is a wonderful walk
or run
any time of the year!
And after a exhilarating day on the water, golf links, trails of Mount Sunapee or
shopping, treat yourself to a relaxing massage and
rejuvenate your muscles for the next day of fun!
