Winter in Sunapee Harbor
A whole different menu of activities than found in the summer!
 |

The frozen lake
becomes a new avenue of exploration! |
Our
guests can enjoy the pleasures of "Currier & Ives" ice skating out on the frozen
harbor or on the ice rink behind the gazebo which we (Greg is the "ice-master")
personally maintain for the town's
recreation department... or perhaps join a "pick-up" game of hockey.
Cross country skiing and snow shoeing are a wonderful way to explore the lake
and all the winter wildlife which abounds here in our "magical" wonderland.
(skates, cross country ski equipment and snow shoes can be rented locally or
bring your own!)
The Harbor is a wonderful place to bring your snowmobile. The Lake Sunapee
Snowmobile Club maintains and grooms extensive trails throughout the area and
also hosts many special events throughout the season.

Our
3 mile "Loop", from the Harbor ~ along Lake Avenue ~ past Birch Point ~ to
Burkehaven Cove ~ returning over Burkehaven Hill to Sunapee Harbor is a
wonderful walk any time of the year!
And yes... there is even the option of ice fishing!!
Marzelli's Deli is open daily - offering warm beverages, soups and sandwiches
amidst all these winter activities and Deck Dock
Home & Garden Shop
is open Wednesday through Sunday with many wonderful and unique items.
And after a exhilarating day on the slopes of Mount Sunapee or exploring the
frozen waters of Lake Sunapee, treat yourself to a relaxing massage and
rejuvenate your muscles for the next day of fun!
